POCKET CVI — RELEASE NOTES
(newest first; also at https://pocketcvi.com/releases/)

Version 0.4.7 — 2026-08-25
[Fixed] A crash on macOS 26.5 that could quit the app about ten seconds after launch while it synced changes from another Mac.
[Fixed] Your library can no longer be emptied by a sync error: something is removed from iCloud only when you delete it yourself — never because one of your devices merely didn't have a copy.

Version 0.4.6 — 2026-08-20
[Improved] You can buy Pro without leaving your trial: Settings → License shows how long is left, a link to the plans, and a field for a license key — so a trial no longer has to run out before you can buy or redeem one.

Version 0.4.5 — 2026-08-20
[Improved] Pocket CVI now always checks for a new version once a day, so a fix can't sit unseen on your Mac. Settings shows when it last looked.
[Improved] Whether updates install on their own — or wait until you've read the release notes and clicked — is now the setting you control, under Settings → General → Updates.

Version 0.4.4 — 2026-08-20
[New] Manage your subscription from inside the app: update your card, change your plan or fetch past invoices, without hunting for the email you bought with.
[New] If a renewal payment is late, the Settings button shows a warning — amber while Pro still works, red once it doesn't — so you don't find out mid-project.
[Improved] When a license lapses, Settings → License now says which license it was, when it expired and which payment was missed, with a direct link to fix it.
[Improved] Your license key is shown in full and can be copied in one click.

Version 0.4.3 — 2026-08-20
[Improved] Settings → License now shows when your subscription actually renews. It previously showed the date Pro is enforced until, which includes a grace period — so a monthly license charged on the 20th appeared to renew on the 27th.
[New] If a renewal payment is late, Pocket CVI now says so and tells you how long Pro stays active while you sort it out.

Version 0.4.2 — 2026-08-17
[Improved] Redesigned color picker: the loupe is now a round, binocular-style lens — clearer magnification, a center target on the exact pixel, and the value shown in a tidy pill.
[New] Continuous picking (Settings → Picker): keep the loupe open and grab several colors in a row — each click saves the color, and Esc closes it.
[New] Picking a color that's already in the collection (or Recent) no longer adds a duplicate.

Version 0.4.1 — 2026-08-17
[New] Check for Updates in Settings — a button under Settings → General → Updates, so you can check for a new version without opening the app menu.
[Improved] App updates and downloads now come from a dedicated, faster download host.

Version 0.4.0 — 2026-08-16
[New] Screen color picker with a magnifier loupe and crosshair, and auto-copy in HEX, RGB, or HSL.
[New] Brand-kit collections: colors, logos, fonts, and documents, each with rich-text CVI notes.
[New] Collection from Website — import a brand's colors, logos, and real webfonts straight from its site.
[New] Extract dominant colors from any image, and a local 5-role brand-palette generator.
[New] WCAG-style contrast checking and font install detection.
[New] iCloud sync of your whole library — colors, notes, and the logo, font, and document files themselves — across your Macs.
[New] Share a whole kit as a single self-contained .pocketcvi file.
[Pro] Bring-your-own-key AI: connect your own Claude or ChatGPT key, or a model you host yourself (Ollama, LM Studio). AI writes brand descriptions, names colors, finds official brand guides, and drafts palettes.
[Pro] Generate a print-ready design manual (PDF), including a premium edition set in the brand's own typefaces.
[Pro] Export your palette as swatches for Illustrator and Photoshop (.ase), PowerPoint and Keynote (.thmx), the macOS color picker (.clr), and developers (CSS / JSON / Tailwind).
